Thornton, James C. - (James Calloway Thornton) Pvt. 10/15/1861. Wounded at Fredericksburg, Va. 12/13/1862. Surrendered at Appomattox, Va. 4/9/1865. Stated as a witness in the pension application of H. G. Adams’ widow, dated 1/14/1913, that he was present at Gettysburg when H. G. Adams was captured. Born in 1844, died in 1917.
